Special Educational Needs

Information regarding progress of pupils with SEND is documented in our Annual Governors Report.

This information is available however, we do not publish this on line as it may be possible to identify individual pupils due to our small cohort sizes.

Our Local Offer Provision (reviewed  2019/20 version)

On this page we have tried to answer all the questions you may have if your child has a special educational need or disability or you are wondering if your child may have a special educational need or disability. This is in line with the revised code of practice for SEND which was  a legal requirement from September 2014.

Please click on the questions below to be directed to the answers we have come up with as a school and nursery, in consultation with parents, staff and governors.
What is our Vision?

What do our parents say we do well at Hinstock Primary and Hedgehogs Nursery?

How accessible is our setting environment?

How are the setting's resources allocated and matched to children's special educational needs?

How do staff in the setting support my child?

How does the setting know if my child needs extra help?

How is the decision made about how much support my child will receive?

How will I be involved in discussions about and planning for my child's education?

How will I know how well my child is developing?

How will my child be included in experiences away from the setting?

How will the learning and development provision be matched to my child?

How will the setting prepare and support my child?

How will you help me to support my child's learning?

What are the responsibilities of the setting in enabling and supporting inclusive practice?

What should I do if I think my child may have special educational needs?

What specialist services and expertise are available at or accessed by the setting?

What support will there be for my child's physical and emotional well-being?

What training have the staff supporting children with SEND had or are expected to have?
