Site developments
Access to the school site has been significantly improved
with a new footpath leading from the main entrance onto
the playground. We are planning a covered outdoor play area
for the foundation class.
Policies
Policies for the curriculum areas are available to be viewed
in school. These policy statements outline the aims, what
is being taught and how.
Community Links
Hinstock School is at the heart of the village. The school
has many links with the local churches, WI, Parish Council,
Tennis and Running Clubs. Visits are made to Hinstock Manor
to sing and play music for the residents. The local community
police, school nurse and Fire and Rescue support the school.
Over the years the children have raised monies for various
charities for example Save the Children, Oxfam, Barnardos,
British Heart Foundation, Breast Cancer Care, Cancer Research
and Harvest Help/Self Help Africa.
The school provides opportunities for the children to work
with children from other schools; Recorder and Singing Festivals,
Shropshire Sings, Riding with Giants, Cross Country and
sports competitions.
The Grove School supports Modern Foreign Languages. The
children have the opportunity to visit the school in Year
5 and Year 6 to have taster sessions. They organize academic
and sporting events.
